You've just filled out your cpsr form - what else do we need?
What Documents Do We Need….and Why?
Below is a list of documents we need alongside your submission (CPSR Form).
How To Get Hold of Them?
These documents can be obtained from your ingredients supplier – if they can’t send you these documents, or don’t know what they are – that’s very rare, but if that is the case, we won’t be able to accept your submission, and we recommend you switch to a more reputable supplier who has the correct legal documents.
How To Send Them?
It is important you send us the documents in the correct format, in order for your submission to be processed swiftly.
We DON’T accept documents in the following formats –

We DO accept documents in the following ways only –
Either a PDF or Word document, sent as an attachment to an email.
What Documents Do I Send?
MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) - We need the MSDS for each of your ingredients; you need to obtain the MSDS for all your ingredients to put in your PIF anyway, so you should already have these, and it saves time in case we need to check the safety details of an ingredient too. This is an example of an MSDS –
INCI/Specification sheet (ONLY IF using any cosmetic base, including Melt & Pour) - We need the INCI (Ingredient) Percentage Banding list for this product. This is so we can calculate the % of each ingredient in your final product. On the CPSR Form, you simply write in the base recipe section, the product (base) name, how much (in grams) of this base you are using and the supplier. This is an example of what this information looks like -
IFRA (International Fragrance Association document) - We need IFRA statements for every fragrance and flavour oil you use (not essential oil). Fragrances are often very complicated chemical mixtures, and the exact formulation is usually strictly confidential. To enable fragrance manufacturers to keep their formulations secret, but still provide information about the safety of the ingredients, IFRA certificates are used, which provide information on the safety of a fragrance and the limits at which it can be used in different cosmetic products. This is what an IFRA document looks like:
Please Note - Currently we can only accept either the 48th or 49th Amendment. If you only have the older Amendments you will need to ask your supplier for an updated version. You will generally find which Amendment it is in the paragraph above the IFRA table.
Allergen Declarations – We need the allergen documents for your essential and fragrance oils, this is because we need to check to see if they contain any banned allergens, or excess allergens. This is very important, and we need to check this to prevent you from placing a potentially unsafe product on the market. This is an example allergen doc -
CI Numbers – We need the CI numbers for your colours and glitters you are using, this tells us the exact components of the colour. There are usually several per colour. However, you include these on the form rather than in a separate document, however we may request further information.
Example CI numbers look like - Mica (ci77019), Titanium Dioxide (ci77891), Iron Oxide (ci77491), Ultramarine Blue (ci77007)
Other Documents:
-For CBD – (ISOLATE ONLY, NOT OIL) – we need documents that show us the purity of the CBD and the THC content.
-For Clays and Charcoal – we need documents for these showing they are BP or cosmetic safe.
Other Notes:
You may find that the MSDS, IFRA and Allergen info is all together in one document. This would be perfect to send us!
