The Star Anise plant is an evergreen tree native to Asia. As you'd probably expect Star Anise oil has a charming, sweet and spicy scent. The scent is akin to a bag of Liquorice Allsorts!
Certainly a top note and blends well with citrus, floral, spicy and woodsy oils. Blends well with Vetiver, Orange, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang, Ginger, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Pine, Rose and more.
Star Anise can soothe muscle spasms and general muscle aches and pains due to its antispasmodic properties. Other benefits include congestion relief, skin-balancing and stress/anxiety relief thanks to its calm sedative action.
