What is Hemp Seed Oil?

Filled with essential nutrients, this is nature's richest source of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), which are known for their excellent emollient and lubricating properties. It is also the highest oil in essential fatty acids and is incredibly rich in Omega 3 oils.

Hemp Seed Oil has been clinically proven to alleviate dry skin, minor skin abrasions, acne, eczema and psoriasis.

What are the benefits of using Hemp Seed Oil on your skin?

PUFAs increase the moisture retention of the skin, keeping it soft and supple. Retaining this moisture also strengthens the skin, enhancing the body's natural defences against pollution, sun and dry air.

It also has a high content of vitamin E, a natural antioxidant that traps excess free radicals which can injure, age degenerate and kill our cells and tissues.

What are the benefits of using Hemp Seed Oil on your hair?

It can promote hair growth, help with thickening and is also a fantastic moisturiser when used in hair products.

What does Hemp Seed Oil look like?

Usually a clear, light green to yellow colour. Sometimes a richer darker khaki green.

What does Hemp Seed Oil smell like?

A slightly nutty, earthy aroma.

How to use Hemp Seed Oil

Use up to 100% in anhydrous products such as creams, balms, masks, butters, scrubs, emulsions and haircare products. It is also an excellent oil for soap making.

This oil is prone to oxidation and has a poor heat stability, as such it isn’t recommended to heat the oil.

History and origins of Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp Seed Oil is cold pressed from the seeds of Cannabis Sativa or Indica, one of the oldest plants used in human history. It originally comes from Asia but has been more popularly cultivated in Europe in recent years.

It should not be confused with CBD oil, which is an extract made from the plant's leaves and flowers.
