Our Organic Lip Balm Base is a high-performance, professionally formulated anhydrous blend designed for brands seeking a rich, nourishing balm base with excellent stability, glide and finish.
Formulated with 100% certified organic ingredients, this base combines plant oils, butters and natural waxes to deliver intensive moisture and protection while maintaining a smooth, glossy application.
The result is a solid yet creamy balm that melts on contact with the skin, leaving lips soft, conditioned and protected without feeling heavy or sticky.
Supplied unscented, this base is suitable for customisation with essential oils, flavour oils or active ingredients (up to 5%), allowing flexibility in product positioning while maintaining structural integrity.
Suitable for use on lips, as well as multi-purpose balm applications including hand, body and targeted dry areas.

Customisation Guidance
This base can be customised with:
- Essential oils
- Flavour oils
- Carrier oils or oil-soluble actives
To maintain a solid balm texture, we recommend additions of up to 5% total.
Compliance & Regulatory
This product has an existing safety assessment in place for the base formulation.
If you wish to sell the product as supplied (unmodified), this assessment can be used as part of your compliance process.
To access the safety documentation, a minimum spend of £100 + VAT per product applies, after which we offer two options:
- £30 + VAT – Release of the existing CPSR (as-is, under Naturally Balmy)
- £50 + VAT – CPSR updated to list your brand as the Responsible Person (RP)
Please note, if you make any modifications (including adding flavours, essential oils, colours or other ingredients), this will be classed as a new product and will require a new CPSR and full compliance.

If you are looking for a faster and more straightforward route to market, we also offer ready-made flavoured lip balm formulations which already have safety assessments in place.
These still require the standard CPSR release fee, however they do not require a new assessment, making them a more cost-effective and time-efficient option for launch.

Shelf Life
2 years when stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry place.
For retail products, a PAO (Period After Opening) of 6 months is recommended.
