This Organic Lip Balm Base is solid yet creamy and glossy; ideal for use in jars/pots or lip balm tubes.
If you would like to try a sample of this base, you can just buy one of our retail lip balms to try.
Organic Cocoa Butter soothes and moisturises your lips without irritating them.
Organic Jojoba Oil nourishes and protects the lips while Organic Castor Oil gives the balm its glossy finish.
This product can also be used as a base for other balms such as foot balms, hand balms, body balms, soothing all-purpose balms etc. Great for small balms which need to have intensive moisture.
It can take the addition of essential or carrier oils well, or can be used on its own for sensitive skin. If you still wish to maintain the solid texture of this balm, only add a maximum of 5% oils to it. On its own or particularly with the addition of calming extracts (rosehip, calendula etc), it can be beneficial for many dry skin problems.

This product is currently assessed to be sold on the UK market. Product Information
What To Do
Just melt the base in a glass jug in the microwave or over a pan of simmering water until liquid. Add any additions if desired (eg. colour/scent). Use the jug to pour into lip balm pots.
You may experience some splitting on receipt of the tinted versions of the product. If this is the case there is no need for concern, just take time to stir the product extra well before transfering into tubes or pots.

Shelf Life
2 years if stored in a sealed container in a cool, dark place.
When sold for retail purposes the PAO (Period After Opening) must be labelled as 6 months.
