Organic Black Seed Oil

Organic Black Seed Oil is a great addition to any skincare collection. It comes from the Nigella sativa plant that grows in Eastern Europe, Western Asia, and the Middle East. The plant has small, black, cresent-shaped seeds and pale purple, blue, or white flowers.

There are many accounts in history of black seed oil being used as far back as King Tut in Ancient Egypt. There are reports that Cleopatra used it to maintain her beautiful skin and hair. The prophet Mohammed is said to have proclaimed that black cumin seed could cure anything but death. It was also mentioned by Hippocrates - for digestive troubles and in the Bible, which sounds pretty official to us.

Black Seed Oil has anti-inflammatory, anti-ageing and skin-softening properties. The powerful anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and nutritive properties of black seed oil can help to restore the natural health and vitality of skin.

In addition, vitamin A, amino acids and fatty acids work together to help skin regeneration. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal qualities, making it an ideal oil to help fight acne as it works to reduce clogged pores and control oil as well as taming redness and helping to soothe irritation. It also has skin softening and anti-aging benefits. Black Seed Oil contains over 100 vitamins and minerals which help the skin to retain moisture, maintain elasticity and fight off the damaging free radicals that make you age faster. It also includes a lot of fatty acids which help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Black seed oil has several properties which can reduce the symptoms of acne including anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative effects. The nutritive factors in the oil can also help in repair and regeneration of damaged skin.  Also known as Black Caraway Seed Oil, it is packed with valuable skincare components like Vitamins A, B, and C, calcium, potassium, magnesium, zinc and trace elements providing the necessary nutritive factors for skin recovery and repair.

Hi,
I am just walking through your website and read the blog on Black Seed oil. Im currently working on a shampoo range and a skincare range focused more so on men but also on oily skin and hair. Would this be a good addition for a shampoo bar and a cleansing bar do you an think. If so at what stage would I add this to my cold processed soap blend? Would it be an extra additive or in place of my current oil?
Would this pigment the soap/shampoo bar? I have a formulation already for shampoo bars that uses activatated charcoal and lemongrass. This sounds like it may be another option? Would be grateful for any advice/help or support.
Many thanks
Caroline
