Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR)
If you sell cosmetics in the UK or EU, a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) is required by law. It confirms your product is safe for consumers and allows it to be placed on the market. We deliver fast, accurate, and fully compliant CPSRs so you can launch with confidence.
What’s Included
Each CPSR includes a base formula, with the option to add up to three product variants. Your report will include a full EU toxicological review, allergen information for compliant labelling, and will be valid for sale in both the UK and EU. It will be prepared for one intended use or exposure area, such as the face, body, or lips.
Variants and Add-ons
You can add up to 3 product variants for £50 + VAT per variant. A variant keeps the base formula unchanged but allows up to 5 additional ingredients (for example, different fragrances, colours, or active ingredients). Examples include a body butter with different fragrance options, a tinted lip balm, or a shampoo with added botanical extracts.
Additional variants may be submitted within 12 months of your original CPSR for £50 + VAT each. For more than 3 variants, our 5-Variant CPSR Bundle offers a saving of £25.
Required Documentation
Before we can begin, you must provide stability testing, challenge (preservative efficacy) testing, microbiological testing, and full physico-chemical specifications (pH, viscosity, density, colour, odour, and appearance). Testing requirements vary by product type.
We cannot complete your CPSR without the required documentation. If you proceed without providing it, an admin fee will apply. Providing the full documentation upfront ensures a smooth and timely process.
