94% organically certified, 100% natural and COSMOS-approved, our Organic Sucragel is classed as an emulsifier and oil thickener. Supplied as an easy-to-use liquid, it is perfect for clear gel-to-milk cleansers, and many other cosmetic formulations.

You can use Sucragel AOF Bio (Organic) in creams, lotions, cleansers, bath oils, and scrubs. No heating needed.

Sucragel AOF Bio is a 100% natural, preservative-free, oil-thickening and emulsifying ingredient based on sugar chemistry. The emulsifier and oil-thickener is composed of Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Orange Flower Water, Glycerine and Sucrose Laurate; one of the most interesting and versatile sugar esters.

Its simplest use is as a liquid emulsifier for cold process Oil-in-Water (O/W) emulsions. However, its main redeeming quality is its ability to emulsify almost any oily ingredient such as vegetable oils, butters and waxes into clear oily gels. It is a liquid gel produced in the United Kingdom, so has a low carbon footprint.

General dosage: 6-98%

For creams and lotions: 6-8%


Super Cleansing Gel Recipe

This gel is silky smooth, all-organic & natural, has a fabulous thick and creamy texture, is opaque to clear in colour and can be used for a range of cosmetic applications. Use it as a moisturising shower gel, shaving gel or a facial cleanser - simply apply to dry skin and wipe off with a damp cotton wool pad or flannel.

Ingredients:

75g Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil

25g Sucragel AOF Bio (Organic)

10 drops Lemon Essential Oil

10 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Method:

Begin by using an electric beaters to beat the sucragel, then very gradually add the organic fractionated coconut oil, beating / blending all the time. Make sure you add the oil to the sucragel, and not the other way around. You will find the gel thickens more the more oil you add.

The end result is an oily gel micro-emulsion which can be used as a shower gel, shaving gel, facial cleanser etc. When water is added to this gel, it will turn instantly into a milky cream, so ideal to be used in the bath/shower. This gel can also be used as a base for facial / body scrubs. Simply add salt or other exfoliants. No preservatives are required (as long as no water is added to the mixture).

If you wish to create a cream / lotion from this oily gel, simply add distilled / floral water gradually to the gel to form an instant emulsion. No heating required! (Preservative will be required though).
