Of all the citrus oils, Mandarin is the sweetest and often most calming making it a favourite of children and parents.
Derived from from the same botanical plant as Tangerine, Mandarin is the most commonly used of the varieties in Aromatherapy.
Mandarin is a common sedative, but its sedating action is more prominent in relaxing and calming nervous afflictions. It can calm attacks of epilepsy and take away stress and anxiety.
Being toning and antiseptic, it can be a useful oil to include in skincare for oily, acne-prone skin.
