We finally have a gorgeous coral colour for you, which is suitable for use in soapmaking, as well as for use on face, nails, lips and eyes .
This safe and non-toxic Coral colour produces a beautiful shimmering and glittering effect and is ideal for colouring lip balms, glosses, lipsticks,
blushers, make-up and creams. It also works well forsolid soaps and fizzy bath bombs. You can even use it for liquid soap but, as with all powdered pigments, they will sink to the bottom if the consistency is not thick enough. They don't, however, stick to bath surfaces.
When used in solid soaps it produces a lovely, semi-transparent effect. The Pearlescent Pigment consists of Mica (an earth mineral), which is blended with iron oxides and titanium dioxide.
How to use
To use in lip or body balms, just add the powder straight to the melted mixture and whisk in thoroughly. You may wish to add more oil to the balm as the powder can have a drying effect.
Alternatively, you can add the colour to some glycerin to form a paste, then add it to your products. You can add the colour straight to our Base Creams & Lotions
, and it will mix in well as long as you stir in thoroughly.
You can add 1-3 measured 2ml spoons (2ml-6ml) of this colour powder to 10ml of lip balm. The more you add, the more it will colour your lips!
(In grams, you need roughly 10-30 grams of colour per 100g of product, but always use the minimum if you don't want the colour to transfer.)
This Pearlescent Colour is made with a blend of natural & synthetic micas; the latter being considered superior to the natural mica as it is brighter and has superior clarity of colour, which means the colour has a more uniform finish, devoid of any sharp edges. This is particularly useful for colouring products used around the delicate eye area.
Mica (CI77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Synthetic fluorphlogopite (nature identical mica), Iron Oxide (CI77491), Tin Dioxide (CI77861)
